We, Guarani people, since the time that our roots were born more deep, we believe that nature is life, as well as land is the ground where we step, with a lot of firmness, safe and without fear.
For our people it is not possible to forget that the land is the support that sustains all nature, all lifetime, because after god Tupã made the nature he noticed that there was no one who admired the rivers, the forest and the mountains. It was then that Tupã thought and he created the Guarani to admire all the beauty that made.
Therefore, we are the flower of the land, as we speak in our language: Yvy Poty.
We were created by the nature, for that it is always in our favor, it adores us, it feeds us and it gives us, human beings, our life.
The water, so precious, without color, without smell, crystalline, that lives inside of us, it breathes in our body and evaporates in the air. Forming clouds of love from where the rain falls to green the forests, to let the sprouts grow; the let the flowers perfume the universe and to feed the bees that make the sweet honey; and the fruits to feed the birds and others animals.
The wood brings shade and vitamin for the land and the rivers that run inside the body of the land, like the blood in our veins.
But the cruel cruelty makes the fire of the death passing in the body of the land, drying its veins. The heat of the fire burns its skin. The forest cries and later is dies. The poison intoxicates. The garbage suffocates. The footstep of the ox hurts the soil. The tractor messes up the land. Outside of our lands we hear its cry and death without terms as a cry for help to Life.
The hour arrived to defend the life from the fire of death. Defend the life that Tupã gave to us: the life of the rivers, of the forests, of the birds, of all the animals, of our children!
In that fight for life we need to count on the commitment, the union, the force and the courage of all the women, men and children of our Great People Guarani.
Our sister peoples that were also born on this land, and who have also resist more than five hundred years in their dreams, songs, prayers, dances and languages, they should also struggle for life.
The memory of this immaculate earth is in the memory of the stones, of the waters and of the blood that runs in the vein of every inhabitant of this continent.
In defense of life and land we invite everyone to save this memory, to get to know our culture, to struggle together with us and to draw together the way for a future in freedom. To reach the Horizon is our goal, walking together is the objective.
